We have recently taken over the New Inn and are excited to breathe new life into it as a vibrant part of the community.

With kids and a dog of our own, we’re passionate about everyone feeling at ease- whether you’re staying the night or just popping in for a bite!

Shipton Gorge is a small, peaceful village, just outside the vibrant market town of Bridport. Surrounded by rolling hills and a short drive from the Jurassic Coast, it’s the perfect base for walkers, beach-goers and anyone who wants to explore this stunning part of the world. Quiet and rural, yet close to local attractions, it offers the best of both worlds.

Our two comfortable rooms, both with ensuite facilities are situated on our first floor. Unfortunately, there is no lift access although we will be happy to help you with your luggage.

Both rooms are decorated to the same high standard with complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities, which, together with king-size beds and digital flatscreen TVs, make for a comfortable and relaxing stay at the New Inn.

Breakfast?

A choice of a delicious home-cooked breakfast made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients or cereals and toast await you in the morning. Only available upon request.

At the New Inn we pride ourselves on our high quality, locally sourced ingredients, supporting Dorset farmers, fisheries and suppliers.

Our chef uses great local seafood, meat and vegetables when available, to create high quality fresh dishes.

Here at The New Inn, together with our reputation for food, we are equally well-known for our great-tasting beer, well-kept cask ales and overall meticulous attention to detail to ensure our beverages always taste as good as they possibly can.

We serve a range of award-winning Palmers Real Cask Ales fit for any season, and flavoursome lagers all year round.

We also offer a varied selection of premium-brand and local spirits, a carefully chosen list of white, red and rose wines, fruit juices, carbonated drinks and non-alcoholic bottled beer and cider.
