We didn’t stay at The New Inn but we did stay in a holiday cottage close by so used their take away service for food on our last night. Ordering was simple, the food was ready for collection at the time requested, it was piping hot and delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and we will be using the take away service again when we visit next march

The staff were very helpful, and the young couple who relatively reasonably took on the management of this community pub deserve to do well. The bar lady was particularly friendly. The slow roast Brisket, and Pork rib were particularly melt in your mouth tender and tasty, and one of the most authentic Sticky toffee Puddings I have had for a while. I have it on good authority that the sunday Lunch was very good too. The All in Breakfast and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were very rewarding. Dog friendly, it's a shame it wasn't especially busy, I hope the trade picks up.

We were just exploring when we came across this little gem of a place ,we thought it was closed
But it was open ,the barmaid was very pleasent and very helpful ,so redefined to stay and have some food ,small menu which we like as it doesn't complicate things
Good range of drinks
We both chose the gorge burger
Not normally one for burgers but it sounded good on the menu
There was a little wait which is a good sign
When the food came it came well presented on a bread board
Home maid slaw and baskets of chips the burger in a brioche bun
The food was lovely
Perhaps a little light on the slaw which was home made with a touch of English mustard ,burger well cooked pulled pork and cheese ,the bbq sauce was well balanced and did not overpower the burger ,chips were really good crisp outer and soft fluffy inside
Soa very good experience
The only criticism I have is the bread board presentation
It's too cheffy for a place like this
A nice willow patterned plate and a normal bowl for desert would make it feel more homely and go with the decor of the pub ,which is charming in character nicely seated and lots of character, helped by the staff who are very helpful and attentive
We would return
Recommend 100%

Everything is simple and as you would expect from pub accommodations. The room is large and clean, equipped with everything. The breakfast is plentiful with fresh bread and very, very good, delicious scrumbled eggs, and the young couple who manage the inn are very kind and try to meet all your tour needs. Located in the middle of the small community of Shipton Gorge. Thanos

An absolutely gorgeous little pub with the most amazing and lovely staff. The landlords were our absolute saviours and couldn’t have done more to help when we landed ourselves in a slight predicament. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will be making a special trip back there. 5⭐️

New to the area my partner and I called in for food and drinks. We were met with a wonderful welcome and impressive menu. The service was first class as was the food. So pleased to have this pub as my local and looking forward to many more visits.
